The Pacific Rim Cup, a professional soccer tournament that debuted earlier this year at Aloha Stadium, will return to Hawaii in February.

Teams have not yet been announced for the global tournament, which will take place during four matches on Feb. 8 and 10.

New York-based Blue United Corp. is organizing the tournament, which is sponsored by Under Armour.

“We are so grateful for the support we received from Hawaii at our inaugural tournament and are excited to respond to the popular call and demand to bring professional, world-class soccer back to the islands next year,” Takehiko Nakamura, president of Blue United Corporation, said. “We are committed to hosting a premier soccer tournament for local residents and attracting soccer fans, visitors and professional leagues from around the world to the Hawaiian Islands every year.”

The inaugural tournament was the first time in six years that the Japan Professional Football League and Major League Soccer competed in the Islands. The four participating teams were Vancouver Whitecaps FC and Columbus Crew SC from MLS, Hokkaido Consadole Sapporo from the J.League and Iwaki FC from Tohoku Member of Society Soccer League. Hokkaido Consadole Sapporo took home the championship title.

Ticket sales for Pacific Rim Cup 2019 will launch on Monday, Dec 3.

The 50,000-seat stadium in Aiea will also play host to a preseason game for the LA Rams, though specific game details including date, time and opponent have yet to be announced.
